Sorry, but no way was final fantasy 7 the best. Play FF3 (6 in japan) on SNES - best console RPG ever made in my opinion. Grab and emu or something and give it a shot.

I've played ff1, 3, 4, 7 and 8. 7 and 8 both own, but for different reasons.

As for the movie, i saw the trailers a while ago, and they hand out copious amounts of pain on Disney and Pixar and all that s***. Very cool starf.

moridin you are right, i played that one on snes emulator through to the end and it is the best computer game ive ever played, its on par with zelda3 on snes

im slightly interested in the ps2 for the sole fact that square are developing some kickass games for it. really hoping for some nice pc portage tho :)

ive played ff1, 2(US)/4(JP), 5(JP only but played translated roms with zsnes), 3(US)/6(JP), 7 and 8 (only a little bit however). itching to get my hands on ff9 as its more of a return to "fantasy" and sd-type stuff which should be cool.

Yes. Someone who know a decent console RPG when they see one, thank you Barak. And maxe, that is correct. We have now revealed ourselves to be total hypocrites. Oh well. Seriously though, I have nothing against consoles. I just feel that the hardware, games and community are far better on the PC. However I do miss the following aspects of console gaming:
1. Square RPGs (esp. FF3/6 and the Secret of Mana series)
2. Fighting Games (esp. the KOF series)
Each to their own and all that. And PCs have emulators for all that stuff anyhow. So there.

Yeah, thats probably true. Never really liked Tekken to be honest. You could always buy a joypad (a know a lot of people favour the Microsoft Sidewinder). Prolly better. Personally, I think the keyboard owns for KOF.

Yeah! 3D fighters sure look nice, but cant match KOF in the ownage factor.
