Aragawn sends word that Telstra are downing their Efnet-linked IRC server:

efnet.telstra.net.au is no more. The DNS will expire any hour now. Dos attacks are responsable..

Just another in a long list of servers leaving efnet...

Hopefully this will prompt a few more people onto EnterTheGame IRC and to jump into #ausgamers and chat with the rest of the l33t people around Australia. Did I mention all the Australian ProGamers hang out in there? And the rest of us.. uh.. we're cool too. Seriously!

beh it split all the time anyway (allthough it was one of the few efnet servers that didnt require idents), does anyone know what the next best efnet server is for aust users?
irc.concentric.net, irc.idle.net?

Oh and i thought #ausgamers had banned pro-gamers from the channel, something about giving the other chatters a go or something?

irc.emory.edu doesnt need ident!! but it splits just as much if not more :( most sad.. efnet will never be the same.. telstra owned.

yeah irc.mcs.net doesnt seem to require ident either.
