As I sit here writing this in the uber stainless steel fridge enabled termshack of j0r, I'm counting the days till I get my Tribes2 beta. Got my Girlfriend to take the week off work so that I could sign for it if we had to (shes a Psychologist for Queensland Rail so yeh as you can imagine she needed the break), and got the pc in standby_to_install_tribes2 mode.

I think you'll be seeing a fair bit of this sucker at qgl deals, both our online servers (yes we will be running one) and at our lans. We will be looking at lots of cool things we can do to kick this game along, so stay tuned!

What part of tribes 2 appeals to term and qgl ??

A] The graphics

B] The Teamplay

C] The fact its a new game

D] It may open up more clientel for QGL lans

E] Or that it might upset other people

F] The redefined structuring of Tribes 1 engine to create Tribes 2.

Yeh the graphic's look great, though until I get the beta I cant really comment on its team play, history has shown us that just because its made by the same company it doesn’t mean that the gameplay would be the same as its predecessor, not by a long shot.

The fact that its a new game is a huge factor of course, we all like to try out new games, their staying power is based on their playability to the masses as a rule.

While new clientele is nice it is more important to focus on your existing clientele, the old adage look after what you can and the rest will take care of itself applies to a large extent, and since this game in particular will interest a large part of our existing community why wouldn’t we be interested. More important than that, it interests me personally, else I wouldn’t have asked to be on the beta.

Why would the fact that we are interested in a new game upset anyone? I'm completely puzzled by that one, our passion is games, that is to say all games, not just one type or one specific software company, it never has been and it never will be. I actually love AOE, though none of the other admins do.

We certainly wouldn’t be offended or upset if someone else enjoyed CS or Q3, why would we be? Nope cant understand that one sorry, if there is something I'm missing send me an email and enlighten me, or better yet post it here and enlighten us all.

What other types of debate did you have in mind?
