Slight spoilage follows (for those of you yet to play the single player).
I'm in the cave bit immediately after the trolls have captured me and as the display starts up for the new map, my hdd whirrs like a mad bastard and the game chunks unbearably (as in move the mouse and game responds 20 seconds later).
I've turned all display stuff down to the bare minimum and even upped the hdd read-ahead cache windows allocates via 'PTS Software PowerUp 98' tweak utility - all to no avail.
Anyone else encountered this or something like it?

Generally if you have a technical or software problem and you need ppl to help displaying your specs for your pc is a great start

completely unrelated to that (cause I dont care if people's PC's cant run games, I just laugh at them), but does anyone have any oz rune servers? Wouldn't mind trying it on the net, but on US servers the ping is just too high and the game handles lag incredibly badly.

I think optus are running a rune server - tho im not sure if its up yet
