Pretty good vids, some nice stuff in there. Here's my contribution. Buckethead, like him or hate him, is an amazing guitarist. Here's a few of my fav videos/songs I can find on youtube.
EDIT - sorry for turning this into a "any guitarist" thread if you didn't want it to be He can rip up a bass too Nottingham Lace - The intro isn't too good but gotta love that solo Padmasana - Basicly a 9 min, slow guitar solo. I love this song so much last edited by DM at 01:45:26 22/Apr/08 |

Awesome thread. Vai is still the god of guitar for me.
As for bassists, Ruthis Philpot is the best I've seen in the flesh (Planet X). Other notable mentions are Ryan Dunn (Mr Bungle & Fantomas), Billy Sheehan (Mr Big, Steve Vai band) & Lyland Sklar (Toto). For the Buckethead fans - listen to Les Claypool's bassline on Stun Operator. |

Billy SheehanI got to meet Billy once, didn't have anything for him to sign bar an early Vai album... he's like "Dude, I don't think I even played on this album??". What an absolutely cainer bass player! |

^ Blue Powder ftw. I also love his work on the early David Lee Roth material.
He's 55 now too & still plays like a nutter. |

Good to hear, we're losing a few numbers these days ... even I only get to play 10 mins per day about 4 days a week.
See ya in there. |
