Greetings.

I will get straight to the point. Australia needs your help. Im sure most of you know about the Folding @ Home distrubuted computing project. OCAU and AusGamers have often been folding against each other becasue theres nothing better than a little aussie rivalry.

But now we need your help. OCAU is #1 in the world for folding, and we are in grave danger of losing this position to the americans if we dont get some new folders and increase our output very soon. This is why im here. Im coming to ask for a truce on our behalf and asking you kindly to join OCAU to keep australia the #1 folding team in the world.

I relise that you would have to join our team and not a team of your own, but im asking on behalf of australia to keep the 'yanks' out the throne.

There are a few options. If you are at all interested you can :
- Join our team flat out, your own user and fold for team 24, OCAU.
- Join the OCAU team as 1 combind user. This way you could keep your ausgamer name. Create 1 user, for instance "AusGamers" but just fold for team 24. This way all the aus gamers output is put under the 1 almighty user.
- Join the OCAU team as your own user with a tag on the end of your name, like "Fred [AusGamer]
- Tell me to go away and never come back :P

If we could simply rename our team we would, but alas if we rename, we go back to 0. If that happens there is no possible way we could catch up in the next 12 months.

I wouldn't be asking, but if there is one thing i cannot stand is to get done, especially by the yanks :)

So im asking for a truce, and for us to come together and join to continue to keep Australia the leading country in the world for folding @ home.

The idea of joining up is to create a super Australia team that can stay No1. If we join up under a new name that would mean starting again from scratch with is not what we are after. So like Darkness said you can join our team under the AusGamers banner so your contribution is still recognized and appreciated by all. This should go a long way to keeping an Australian team on top. Please drop by our forums to let us know what you think.

Yes ravem if we could just rename our team to a pure australian name we would, but alas we cant rename and if we start a new team there is bassically not a chance in hell we would reach the #1 spot again.

As i said if you join under an AusGamers user or use an ausgamers tag on your name you would still be recognised. What it comes down to is we are all folding for the same casue, if you keep your ausgamers tag you would still be folding as an ausgamer, just your points would be put toward a greater total and keep australia the #1 in the world.

I like/support/believe OCAU about as much as many others like TomsHardware. Comprende?

Heh, Darkness comes on here with a good idea so we can absolutely slaw the yanks in the folding stats, and we have an argument about which team it should be, ausgamers or OCAU.

Raven, why create another team, when you'd just lose all the completed work units. Same with OCAU people joining Ausgamers. You lose all the completed units.

I came under the influence that we would band together with a little patriotism to defend the throne, but i guess not.

Hello, hello does anybody live here. Echo Echo. Looks like a deserted shell of a Folding Team. Only the BSS flame lighting the way. Pity because you had such a good team and we could have joined up and had a mighty team.

Thanks to all those AusGamers that have come over to the Overclockers Australia team to help keep us No1. We still are losing ground to the [H] guys so if you still want to help its not to late.
