So I decide to catch a train to the airport in Sydney at 7am. I notice some people running around towards the rear of the station and back and forth so I go to investigate.

There was a freaking BUS at a 45 degree vertical angle off the steep slope from the road on the train tracks. Illustration is below (mspaint via touchpad at the airport so be nice!). Sorry no real pics, I was carrying too much gear to take a shot.

So yeah all sorts of delays as you can imagine: (News Link)

"A bus has reversed back onto a railway line off Langston Place, at Epping," a NSW Police Force spokeswoman said.

"The bus is going to be there for a little while yet."

edit: I used to live in Epping, go me, but knowing the Sydney rail system, this would have f***ed up the whole morning peak hour train services, I know they were doing building works the last time I was in Epping for a new station, wonder how the bus driver managed to f*** up so bad!?!?

After seeing the photo, holy s***! That was the bus I was meant to catch to the train-station! But the 294 bus was leading it by 1 metre so I caught it instead.

Anyway, just crazy Sydney-ness.

"She had briefly left the bus and that's when it occurred,'' the STA spokeswoman said.

"She returned to the bus and it had gone."

hehe either handbrake failed or she didnt pop it on properly

Well, a couple of minutes drive from. I don't like the suburb that much, it has a strange feel to it.
