Attempt at rebooting a franchise, take 2:

1080p
720p
480p

Looks a bit...meh. But then, I'm one of those crazy people that liked parts of the other Hulk movie from a couple of years back. The dogs and Rocklord/Nolte stuff can DIAF.

Hopefully they are just holding back the "hulk f***s s*** up" parts of the movie from the trailer.

I found the first one waaaaaaaaay to lame to get excited about a sequel regardless of how good it looks. But, the cast looks awesome (Edward Norton, Ed Harris, Tim Roth and Liv Tyler ftmfw). Too bad Hulk is just another stupid looking CGI creation. They should have got one of the current body builders instead and used camera trickery like in LOTR to make him look even bigger.

Doesn't look the best so it'll be a DVD one for me. And yeah, I'd prolly prefer a real person playing the Hulk or even like the way they did that rock guy from Fantastic Four. The cgi still looks too fake to be convincing.

So is it following on from the first one, or pretending the first one didn't happen?

Apparently while it isn't a complete reboot, it will only very loosely refer to some parts of the previous film - essentially, it's a sequel only to his 'origin' story.

The whole military testing, etc, and his dad - that's retconned out.

I think I'm the only person who enjoyed the first movie, I was never a fan of the character but the first way made him interesting at least and had some intelligence to it unlike most other comic book movies (ie fantastic four)

the ending with electic boogooloo dad was the only bit I didn't like

I give that movie zero out of 10, just for its mere existence.

f***! How much must Marvel have hated the Eric Bana version to just whore it out again for a remake so soon?

After watching the trailer I think I have to keep giving it zero. I never read the Hulk comics but srsly, surely they could have come up with a more interesting enemy than just bizarro-Hulk?

So glad Eric Bana turned them down to do this. Such an awesome actor/bloke doesn't need this bulls*** over again.

That looks uber gay... the first one was rad. Now Trog doesn't look like the hulk anymore.

This is not a remake, this is a continuation from the first movie..The other creature is "the abomination"

Yeah thats exactly what this movie needs, a hulk with zero personality that can't act or move.

As opposed to, say, a CG character?

As long as it has less touchy-feely bulls***, and more HULK SMASH, then I'll probably enjoy it. Also, Edward Norton looks much better in the role than Eric Bana imo. Eric Bana really overplayed the weedy, geeky scientist angle, to the point where in some scenes it almost felt like a parody.

The worst cg character from the worst straight to video movie would still have more personality than a bodybuilder, and probably look more human.

I can barely contain my own apathy for this movie.

apologies for the thread revival

but i thought this movie was pretty fking rad, so much better than the first one

two massive sequel openings though, at least one was kinda hidden amongst all the action, and last one just made me lol (tho i do admit im a bit excited to see what they do there)

overall, ive really enjoyed the last 2 comic movies, ironman and this, and from the looks of it batman is up there too, so maybe hollywood have twigged on to how to make good movies

It isn't Hollywood - it's the fact (with Iron Man and Hulk) that Marvel have their own productin studio now, to make movies based on comics.

Not, what Hollywood execs think a comic book character should do/think in a movie.

I thought the movie was sweet too. Hulk can't jump 100km in a single bound anymore which is good. Without spoiling, I'm not too keen on the sequel bombshell they drop - just don't see how it would work.

Nakor, is this a sequel to the recent one, or a whole new thing that pretends the first one didn't happen

pretends it doesnt exist. the credits at the start were cool in the way that they revealed the hulks origins.

the movie was not quite up there with ironman, but it was still awsome. hulk smash ftw!

Hulk can't jump 100km in a single bound anymore which is good.

he can do that in the comic...

Trog, it's sorta both. In terms of timeframe it's a sequel, but the backstory is different.

I read that it was going to be a sequel with eric dud banner but he didn't want to do it, then edward norton got it and he re-wrote the script for it so it wouldn't be a sequel anymore, with the backstory shown in quick flashbacks and dialogue that lets u pick up on what happened.

It's actually a pretty sweet movie I'd see it again.

norton only re-wrote the dialogue, not the script. thats why he didnt get credited for it.

Spoiler:
it was actually dropped first in ironman, if you watched after the credits, and isnt there some kinda allstar comic they've already got? only thing i couldnt work out was whether or not they were going after the hulk, or wanting him to join

Spoiler:
i thought it was obvious that stark wants him to join the avengers. the hulk is one of the original members afterall. anyway thats not the sequel to the hulk, thats another movie franchise. the hint for the sequel was mr blue who will probably end up being the villain called the leader.
