f***ing goldcoast meatheads, where the f*** do all these dudes appear from? It was like being at the indie or some s***. Sister Bliss was the only awesome awesome set I saw, David Guetta was f***ing awful gay. It was a good day for sure despite all of that (and the fluro kids) even though I was shoeless through out and the walk home was a f***ing bitch. Festivals are so inferior to seeing a good set in a club.

What's other peoples take on it?

I gave up of SFD's after seeing how packed it gets now. Last year was really f***ed. It use to be a lot bigger in space and thats when it was only half the crowd. Now they just pack everyone into that small space.

muddyfielddayz.

I swear going around today would've been good to pick up a pair of havianas or two, or two thousand.

SFD was crap. The place was completely covered in mud pools. Then they ran a fire house for over an hour (like the place needed more water). Food was s***. Toilets were disgusting. It was over crowded. The music was ok and i wanted to stay but the crowds the stench and the mud was nauseating.

Not to mention $6 for a can of light beer, $9 for double blacks.. terrible transport, and abundance of skanks wearing next to nothing and looking disgusting whilst doing so.

But the music was good at times

1. there was some damn fine hotties
2. there was lots of mud
3. it stunk
4. it was hot
5. drinks are too expensive
6. too many people, not enough space
7. transport was aids, just not very well thought out
8. music was average, you could hear beats from other sets when the one you're at was quiet for a split second
9. meatheads
10. fluro

end result, 1/10

I didn't go (thank f***), but I heard you could only buy like 20 dollar and 50 dollar drink tickets....and with the drink prices you'd lose out a couple of bucks each drink!
I don't get the point of drink tickets....just means you have to line up TWICE to buy a drink.

correct

and yes the drinks ticket thing was so stupid
I went and paid my $20, got 2 bottles of water and 1 x double black
had $5 left over, went back to the line up for the tickets and said "$5 please"

she gave me the usual "oh we cant do that"
f***ing why not?

i can understand the point of the drink tickets. it saves the bartenders having to handle money and keeps all the cash in a single safe depository.

that being the case, most of the bartenders were mathematical failures and as such i rarely got charged the right price for a drink. so by the end of the day i had consumed over $100 of piss for about $70.

other than that once night fell i couldn't wait to get the hell out of there, because you were no longer able to navigate the heavy mud areas and each time you placed one foot in front of another you just stood in MORE f***ING MUD.

leaving early also avoided any of the inevitable transit problems because the only way out of the forsake hole was via chartered coaches which ferried everyone the 2 or so km's between the drop off near Seaworld and the entrance.

True, with casual hired staff for the event theft would be huge.

I've only been to a few events with the drinks tickets and, as a punter, it does suck.

i had a wicked time - though the crowds that are going to the edm festivals are getting worse and worse. i thought parklife this year was trashy, sfd was much worse so many f***ing bogans and retards.

joachim garraud was a-f***ing-mazing, keytar superstar, awesome mixing, great track selection which was fun without being cheesy. pick of the day by far.

cosmic gate were also rad - i checked them out even though their night at fam was supposedly sub-par and was not disappointed.

chris lawrence was rocking, even a chunk of psy in there which i did not expect at sfd

saw a little of spank rock who seemed cool, saw a little of uffie who i think is utter s***. what does that girl bring to the musical table? lyrics are embarassingly s***, not much flow, the beats were nothing special. i swear the nu-rave fluro fags only like her because she says the word f*** alot, THATS SO BADASS!

ps. harden the f*** up

edit: i didn't see david guetta cause commercial house usually ain't my thing but my mates did and they thought he was f***ing s***, and they are huge guetta fanboys. they saw him at sensation white 2007 and loved him.

also heard benassi didn't play any (many?) of his own productions which didn't go down well with the crowd? i didnt bother seeing him cause i've seen him before - he did the same thing when i saw him, only played one of his productions (satisfaction). which i really didn't have a problem with cause he played a rockin house set but wasn't what i was expecting. did anyone else see him at sfd?

me: "oh thats ok give me $40 worth of redbull then"
bitch: "oh no sorry we cant do that either we only have 2 cans"
me: "ok well ill have my $40 then"
bitch: "oh no sorry we dont do that"
me: " @#$^*^^&$$#%#"

i mean wtf ... y sell more drink cards than the f***ing product u have !!!

it kind of even out tho cause i did get a staff pass and just walk in behind the bar and help myself most of the day.. but thats not the point.

i was front row centre for his whole set. absolutely loved the first half when he played all his remixes and productions like deep throat/whistler/warrior/chimps etc.
infact i think dancing like a maniac to warrior super loud at sunset was the musical highlight of my day.

the second half claude lost the vibe and really mellowed out. i should have gone over to joachim but i didnt want to lose my spot for dave spoon next. i kept looking across at the next stage and could see joachim rockin his keytar on the big screen.. so regretting not going over :(

sucked in to the nubs that had to make epic journeys back to their hotels. seaworld nara ftw. arrived back there in minutes then bomb dived the pool.. soooo good.

overall i think sfd has just got too massive now.. i didnt like the vibe at all. however i did enjoy the huge amount of BOOBAGE on display. god there was some great racks. im still having flashbacks oh yeahhhhh ( o Y o )

yeah that's joachim garraud. he's the space invader with a keytar that actually dresses up like a short odd-looking frenchman for his gigs.
