One of the QGL/Regen old timers has passed away.

Paul Freeman aka Rockape died sometime in November.

i remember the time i was giving a heap of the aot guys a lift home from a lan in my old man's mx6 & we pulled up at the lights at the top of the valley & rockape pulls up alongside in his old ford stationwagon. rockape jumps outta his car n grabs his lapels & screams "DO YOU WANT A PIECE OF THIS! MOTHERf***ERS!#@!" fkn crackup... will miss ya buddy!

Only found out today.

Very sad. Was wondering where he got to, Hadn't spoke to him since late October/early november. (Thought he had gone on another e-holiday).

Who could forget Dethon Lans and rockape sleeping in the middle of the lounge.

One time coming back from a dethon lan, driving across the story bridge he launched a bunch of plastic coke bottles out the window screaming some strange obscenity as he went. Driving anywhere near him in general was a dangerous yet humourous activity.

And who could tire of the boiled lollies in his pockets jokes...

It's very sad as it seemed he was really turning his life around. Slimmed down and waist deep in WOW skanks. A very personable guy who always made you laugh at any cost to himself.

Rockape was/is a legend! It is sad, but I'm sure he'd make some sort of joke about it and crack us all up. One of the funniest people I've known and always knew how to make someone laugh at any time. Have heard so many different Rockape stories from many different people, all so unique and yet so Rockape. And I agree with Shad, he was turning his life around and seemed to be doing really well. Demon's story was a crackup, so easy to picture it :D RIP Rockape

I was just a skinny snot nosed kid when I first went lanning at regen/qgl, and rockape helped me get setup and played quake with me. Really nice guy.

I think rape dropped communications with most people when he moved down south (or maybe it was wows fault).

One of the funniest things he did was he changed every single character & action sound in Quake 1, I was literally crying how funny it was. I had to stop after e1m3 as I was in pain from laughter. Was so silly, like the slow zombies with Swedish chef was gold as it all echoed in the dungeon, haha im laughing at it now.

fpot, he stayed off the QGL forums, randomly took holidays from online life and moved in a heap of different circles.

He was also in the process of straightening out his life in a big way, so I thought he had given online a break for a while. People randomly disappear for ages from msn and wow, and then just pop back (eg. Mantrap, Lasher the Mormon ) doesn't mean anything.

The thrombus would have to travel from vein -> heart -> lungs -> heart -> brain to cause a stroke. It cannot travel through the lungs. DVT can cause Pulmonary Embolus, not a stroke.

If your referring to arterial emboli though instead of dvt, yes they cause stroke frequently.
