Ive asked this question a few times myself on this forum, have a search.

One that worked best for me is probably convert x to dvd.

Best one I've used is convert x to dvd. So simple yet so brilliant.

nero is s***. Even if you have a dvd compliant mpeg file it will still transcode it and it takes more time, gives less quality. f*** nero.

I think I used to use avi2dvd or perhaps ulead video studio something or other. I haven't messed with my video camera for years, though I'll be trying to work out how to make a dvd again tonight so if you find a decent one post it here :p

I really cannot express how much i love this program. So f***ing easy to use, so brilliant. You just select the media you want to make into a dvd, make sure you have 4+GB on hdd space left, and away you go! So easy. Create your own menu, background etc

Cannot recommend highly enough

^^ that's all well and good for yourself but what if you want to make a home movie of yourself getting up to mischief and then distrbute it amongst friends? Most of my friends barely even know what a dvd player is let alone whether or not theirs plays divx files :(

You can use Aimersoft DVD Creator, it can convert all popular video formats (AVI, MP4, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, WMV, ASF, RM, RMVB, DAT, MOV, FLV, etc) to DVD and burn DVD movie played on portable and home DVD players, that's very good for me, you can free download it from its official site:
