The usual: Looking at getting a notebook for work. Portability is priority. Will be watching movies and doing the usual office work.
Has anyone got the Dell M1330 or know anyone with it? Also all the guys at work have those tablet notebooks so one of those at a good price and good specs would be nice but I don't have my hopes up. Any other suggestions will also be taken into consideration. Budget: $2400 |

I have one and it's the best laptop I've ever owned (I've owned 2). It's very light so portability would definitely be possible.
I'll probably check this thread again so just ask questions if you have any. |

What colour did you get? Does the red one look faggy? Is the alpine white a silver colour or is it like Mac white? Do you find the screen too small at times?

Whats the average lifetime on dell batteries?
Was thinking about getting a cheapie inspiron for typing up stuff and the like on the go, heard a few bad rumors about the quality of the batteries though. |

I've got one too, f***in cains
Screen is sweet, video card is pretty good for a laptop, but I wouldn't bother with the fingerprint reader, its a bit of a wank, I can type faster than I reckon I can get it to recognise my finger Battery life is mad, I've got the 9-Cell, didn't buy the 6 cell. (If you decide to buy one, tell me because I would like a 6 cell battery because it is smaller, but apparently you can only order them WITH the system, obviously I will swing you some cash) Check out OCAU forums there is a 50 page thread about them, and amember Hellsangel actually works for dell in Sydney and can provide discounts and s*** for people who ask Fkn OCAU LINK |

What colour did you get? Does the red one look faggy? Is the alpine white a silver colour or is it like Mac white? Do you find the screen too small at times? Black. I've never seen a red one in real life. Same with the White. They discontinued it there for a bit while they sorted out painting issues. I felt Black was the only choice for me anyway. I previously had a 14.9" laptop and I find this 13.3" (Widescreen) far better. Obviously it's better technology and all that but I go from 17" monitors to this and I don't notice a difference. I really do prefer this laptop. |

Does the raised back cause any problems when you are using it on your lap (like does the battery casing have a rounded bezel or what?)

i was going to go with this but wanted a bit more gaming so got a inspiron 1520 instead which has a 8600gt
not sure if it was the right choice though as its quite a lot chunkier and its going to be a pain for travel. supposedly they are releasing an xps 1530 which would have been best for me |
