Anybody have any idea oh how much it is to get one rebuilt? My rover crew have an old ford escort on which one of the carbies is screwed(the float valve isn't going up and down and therefore won't pump the fuel. Any idea's on price?

Which crew are you from?
Depending on where you are, we might be able to give you a contact that will probably do it for free if you ask nicely. Is this for a bash car? |

yea the kits are cheap as chips and easy as.
sounds like the needle and seat. make sure the kit you get has both the *needle and seat. pointless just getting the needle. |

The problem with the carbie is that it needs a new float (because we accidently stuck a screw driver through it trying to get the well off which was been held together by silicon). But we were playing with the carbie because it wouldn't suck fuel through.
Yeah. I'm from Burul rover crew (west chermside). The car hasn't raced in about 8 years so we are looking at getting it going before bash. We just have to do a little bit of panel beating before hand as last time it raced it went sideways into a tree. last edited by sLiNky at 12:08:38 26/Nov/07 |

Just build a new car the car has to be under 10 years old or it wont be allowed to race I think you may be talking about a different race. The race he's entering has cars that are over 30years old. There's a car there that's over 60years old and still going crap. |
