Some people are calling Criss Angel a hypocrite, but even though Criss Angel plays up his act as supernatural, outside of his TV show he openly admits he has no magical abilities and doesn't believe anyone does.

I expected more, I don't think I'd have called that ownage.

I've been watching that phenomenon show. Lame for the most part but some tricks are okay i guess.

The fact that Angel went on tv and voiced his disbelief for the psychic is where the pwnage is. Most people on TV just smile and nod when s*** like that happens and carry on like it's fantastic and it just s***s me.

the other two judges were reasonable whilst not necessarily calling him psychic... assessing his ability to suspend disbelief

That old man in the video is the amazing James Randi, one of my heros. No doubt the 1 million dollar challenge from Criss is a nod to Randi's million dollar challenge (he'll give a million bucks to anyone who can prove psychic powers are real in a laboratory situation - so far no one has claimed it - http://www.randi.org )

All magicians lie and cheat, infact that's how most magic tricks were invented. A lot of TV magic, like Copperfield making trains disappear only works on TV (or if you were seated in a very limited area I guess).
There's just an unspoken agreement between the magician and the audience that they'll pretend that the magician isn't lying.
