Not sure what the go is, the new beta drivers work fine for rubba.
But are completely fuxxed for myself (as in, I can't even load windows with them - I just get a black screen).

We have, essentially identical computers except motherboards (even still, of which mine is just a more recent revision.

Just a heads up.

Rolled back to 163.75 and all is well.

I had to install these to be able to use Civilization 4 on a 6800GT. Yes, I know the game is hideously old.

rekon lawl at 64bit.

But seriously, you are the only person having issues.

Either we are all clueless lucky nubs, and you are the unlucky guru. Or you are more nooby then the rest of us nubs that are doing just fine.

ps. I found the drivers gave me a framerate boost, and now that riva tuner works with it I can OC em just fine.

I just installed the 169.04 beta drivers the other night, worked fine for me too.

Uninstalled my previous drivers
rebooted into VGA mode or whatever the hell mode xp uses when the vid card isn't installed
used NFR to remove all existing driver files (it found 1 file left over)
then installed the new betas
reboot

et voila, was playing crysis all last night with little to no issues (other than my 'pushed through the floor' bug I found and a couple of graphical anomalies)
