sup guys
im a huge f***ing nerd and i just bought a item on diablo 2 that coz me 4 bucks using paypal, and its directly linked to my back account right the payment method was an 'echeque' (says that in the transaction details or whatever) also in the transaction details it says that its 'uncleared' and expected clearing date is 14th november I have already received the item the dude just emails you an account name and password and you go in and get the item. my question to you all is, if that echeque is 'uncleared' doesnt that mean that if i transferred all my money OUT of my bank account now, he would not get paid? which means he would just get f***ed over? i have 0 intention of doing this, im not going to do this, im just curious as to how it exactly works I was thinking it might check my bank account before i make the purchase to see if you have funds, but whats to stop me still just transferring the money out? iv already got the item, technically couldn't u do this on a much larger scale and just leg it? wtf? what am i missing in dis equation. |

you would get a 30$ dishonour fee from your bank, and then the next day when paypal tries again you would get another and so on. |

Technically it is an authorised withdrawal so depending on what bank you are with it will put your bank account into the red.
Some banks will reject it and yes, he will get f***ed over |

my question to you all is, if that echeque is 'uncleared' doesnt that mean that if i transferred all my money OUT of my bank account now, he would not get paid? nah the transaction will probably go through anyway you'll go into negative. so the item will cost you like $34 instead. |

1 more question guys, similar situation
except this time i transferred 30 bucks out of my account into my paypal account, it takes 5-7 days to clear, so if the money isn't there when it goes to clear, will it go into negatives in this situation also? or because its my money only switching accounts, will it just not work?? thx !: D |

paypal confuses me, i used it once and i transferred money from my bank account into my paypal account, just enough for what i was buying off ebay and so it said it came through so i selected pay to the ebay seller and i assume he got the money because they sent the item out to me but on my paypal it still kept saying i had that money in my account

I'm with trixx, f***ing thing is confusing. I bought a DVD of eBay and the s*** I had to go through because the buyer only accepted paypal - what the hell is wrong with a direct deposit :(

i know! pain in the ass. i had never needed a paypal account before that purchase so i had to sign up for it and tell the guy that i couldn't pay him for like a week which he wasn't happy about, but it took like 4 days from when i signed up for those couple of cent deposits they give you as a test to go through, before i could then deposit my own money in

Yeah I set up a Paypal account because it's now compulsory if you want to sell items on Ebay (apparently). Anyway, did the whole bank account verification thing that trixx mentioned with the two small amounts and everything, but when I went to list an item (a vhs tape) it sent me to Paypal and then I ended up in a loop. It wouldn't let me get back to the item, just kept throwing me back to Paypal account details etc. Cancelling out of the loop ie shutting the tab meant I lost all the info I had put up.
I assumed this was because I hadn't transferred money to my Paypal account, but I thought that I would be able to list the item on Ebay and then when it sold I would pay the total amount out of the sale price. Bah! I don't know, I haven't tried it since. Since Ebay owns Paypal they kinda have you over a barrel. |

wtf you noobs paypal is a f***ing sinch.. just go pay by paypal and make sure you have money in your bank account. If you transfer money into your paypal account it just makes payment faster if your planning on buying from overseas. but I've found theres no point in doing this if you have already purchased something, just let it come out of your bank account normally.
wtf seriously? |

it makes it much more easier if your account source is a credit card and not a bank account.
