Does anyone actually know how climate stats work?

They take the average temperature of 20 or so years and set it as 0, this serves as a baseline. I think there are different baselines for different parts of the world. Then they get an average temperature for the year for various regions and it is compared to this baseline. So the world average temp for 2001 might be +1 degree celcius over the baseline. Then 2002 might be +2, 2004 +1, 2006 +3. So going by that, they say the world temperature is increasing over the year 1976-1996 baseline.

To check if it is getting hotter of the past 2000 years they have to instead rely on measurement of CO2 in pieces of ice and whatnot.

you should come do my job if you wanna prove how "hard" you are at working silly hours. Most show days start at 14 hours, average is around 16, 18-22 hour days arent uncommen either. Avg week is 40 hours anywhere up to 110 hours.

Was at Aus Post the other day and there was a guy whinging about payrises, I said "what are you complaining about, we probably only work 4 hours a day", then another bloke popped up and laughed "do you really think we work 4 hours?"... I just smiled and said "nop, great isn't it"
