I'm trying to get into the mood for tonight and here's the sweeeeeet dance/party mix I just made. I normally just chuck in upbeat rock songs... but I'm slowly getting into dance stuff a bit more. I think this is a pretty nice mix so far. Suggestions more than welcome. Ideally I want songs to put on when people are over to make them want to shake their thang.

hah ok.. well i was planning on firing up the turntables tonight and recording a mix but it looks like i will be going to the Met tonight to see mr kleinenberg.

I have a breaks mix that I would like some feedback on. It's not awesome but listenable.

just upload it overnight or something? you're gonna have to upload it anyway no matter who/where it's hosted. i'll give it a listen, my cdjs are coming in a few days so i'll be churning out prog/trance mixes soon - want to build up my internet karma =)

Ok I have no idea if this will work and i apologise for the site its on (sumotorrent seems to love ads with bouncing tits) but see how it goes.

If it doesn't work let me know and I will try to fix it.

Still got a ways to go before I would be confident beatmixing-wise, but I think its ok for a start. I am heading in to get some new records today hopefully and I am keen to record some more mixes soon.
I don't use Cds or samples off the computer or anything, just straight vinyl.
I like it like that.

i just think the phrasing needs work to maintain the momentum, and most of the tracks go on for way too long and drag on a bit. mix them out in unpredictable places.

some good tracks on there though.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah just getting my head around beatmixing etc and when to mix out etc. Usually takes me most of the track to get the mix right hehe.

Every time I do a mix I learn something new and I am getting a bit better at picking what to mix. Now I just have to figure out the 'when'.

nah Jaded is different.. not mean to be full of A+ club bombs like Weapon. I was just trying something a little darker. judging by the emails i'm getting, seems peeps are diggin it too :D

HeardY do you always take what you see for face value? if you used what it seems like you are currently sitting on you might deduct that the id3 tags were entered wrongly as easy listening is a genre in all but the gayest of cases (search amazon for ie)

looking at it again i realise that billy got the track from a compilation alb that was labeled easy listening. mystery solvered o_O
