With my Internet Explorer i have autocomplete on and for the address bar i have auto complete on as well. My question is that i accidently type in the wrong site for one site i keep going to... i put .au on the end...

now everytime i type on the address bar it keeps going to the .au one... i was wondering does anyone know how to remove with removing everything else.... does that make sense?

I can't be sure but I think if you remove it from your history, it won't be in there for auto-complete anymore

if you hold the mouse over it, when it comes up, and press delete.

Try this...

Have the cursor in the address bar as if you were typing in a url.

Start writing the URL that is Incorrect so that it tries to suggest the URL you are trying to delete.

Press down to highlight the incorrect suggestion and then press delete.

IT WORKS, I'VE DONE IT LIKE 11TYBILLION TIMES DUDE. MAN UP AND FIGURE IT OUT.

If I press the suggestion, it goes to that page...

Then pressing delete just removes the "h" from the http://

Nowhere did I say to click on the suggestion. You hold the mouse over it, and press delete on the keyboard.

I should clarify. Evidently, my solution only works for search boxes (ie. what you've searched for in google.)

It doesn't appear to work for the address bar.

I realised this as soon as I posted it, but I though it would be more fun to call you a bunch of pansies. And guess what...

YOU'RE STILL A BUNCH OF PANSIES.

The addresses are stored in the registry

HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - Microsoft - Internet Explorer - TypedURLS

Does it make me a nerd that I knew where that key was without opening regedit? Or just a http://users.bigpond.net.au/ritsuko/emoticons/tinfoil.gif

didnt work :(

that gets rid of it in the address bar when you click on the down button on the address bar but does not delete the autocomplete
