Really? I've always heard police were trained pretty much to only ever shoot to kill (or at least, shoot for the chest region, because its the big target)

Really? I've always heard police were trained pretty much to only ever shoot to kill (or at least, shoot for the chest region, because its the big target)
not to mention that shooting at the arms or legs, you could miss and hit somethign that you weren't supposed to hit (like an innocent bystander).

Back in my security days, when I was armed, were taught by the police trainers to shoot to kill, none of that knee capping crap. That way when it comes to going to court, it's your word against a corpse.
