Has changed a bit since these photos were taken but still same basic set up. I have a 2nd PC on the desk now and a few more toys so it's a little cosy.
There are heaps more toys all around the walls but bandwidth capped atm so it's taking forever to load pics.

Yeah, just did a headcount and realised there are another 5 crates missing from that pic - another four across the top of the bookshelves (you can see the corner of one in one of the pics) and another one under the desk. Mind you my collection is pretty ordinary compared to some I've seen. Makes me wonder how people can acquire so much in one lifetime.

Also they are now categorised a lot better - breaks down as follows:

1 crate of Comedy, Samples, Scratch, Kids and Doubles
2 crates of Hip Hop 12"
1 crate of Old School/Classic Hip Hop 12"
3 crates of Breaks
2 crates of Hip Hop LPs
2 crates of House/Techno/Trance etc
1 crate of Alt/New Wave/Punk + Soundtracks
1 crate of Rock/Pop
1 crate of Heavy Rock/Metal/Misc
1 crate of Male Vocal
1 crate of Female Vocal/Compilations
1 and a half crates or so of rubbish + misc s*** lying around crateless

Been collecting vinyl since the days of wayback. I love the sound and the tactile nature of the medium. You can dig around at some obscure flea market or op shop and find the coolest stuff, even if it's only sentimental value rather than worth heaps of cash. Buying a mass produced cd or downloading an electronic file can never have the same appeal as digging through the crates, maybe going through 100 records and finding one record, something that makes you feel like you have something special in your hands. It's more than the music, it's the collecting, the endless search for something unique. Vinyl is where it's at.

I've got about 50.. prob wouldn't even fill a single crate ;/

i've got about 50 odd trance records. i'd love to keep buying vynil but $20 per A-side track vs. $1.99 digital... it's a no brainer on my budget =(
