Coke and hookers.

Oh, computers.....

I wouldn't spend $2,000 on a computer cause that would mean I'd have less for coke and hookers.

I saw the topic of this thread and thought "cool, that'd give me the opportunity to get a Thylacine 221 and have $5 change left over.
But then I saw the thread contents :(

Man, I don't need any computer upgrades until March 3rd. And even then, I'm pretty sure my current system will run Spore just fine anyway.

Are you building a new system or just want us to name random computer gear we'd like?

If it's a new system, just go to the CA website and pick a fast CPU and match that with a mobo and add the rest on to fit your budget. Everything there is listed in order of cheap to expensive. Easy as.

I would keep saving (1080p projector).

Or, if i didn't have a mac, I'd buy one.. a laptop if I didn't have one already. you know, with pc's being stale and macs being awesome, might as well have the best.

I'd probably buy a decent(ish) laptop with it since mine is slow and the video card kind of sux.

Probably get a ipod touch thingo and spend the rest of the money on a new lcd. If I had to spend 2k on computer gear that is.

What are you going to do on this computer? You could get a lot of useless crap thats worth a lot of money and then just type word docs on it all day or you could get something that does the job intended without the overkill?...

lots of random stuff.. battery parts, wiring, fans, solar panels etc.

I'll ultra keen to one day run my computer room off a combo of wind and solar power here @ home. I'll never get my aircon unit running off it, but I do throw that into the wishlist as well :P

right now all I need is a sure fire way to keep the ups at full.

oh - and a better air compressor. my pissant 2hp cheapy isn't nearly enough to run most of the tools/addons made for them. I want that Gernie attatchment. it'd be nice to have all that running off renewable sources too

=)

buy a flight home and go to the BDO!!

Either that or if we are talking computers, make a HTPC boxen with a couple of TB space.
