Not the original site I was looking for that I found years ago (the original didn't have instructions or anything else but the password box) but it looks like a similar concept.

Also while I was looking for that I found http://www.hackthissite.org/ but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

Hmmm, it looks like the password for level 2 is 131, as doob said, but it doesn't work... guess I'm not a 1337 enough haxx0r. =(

EDIT: Dw, kinda obvious now that I know it. On to level 3!

haha i thought it was 131 as well... gave me the s***s for a while

Stuck on level 4 now... Page source doesn't really reveal anything (that I can see). I think the best course of action would be to give up and never try again.

Lol holy f*** level 2 took me like 5 mins to figure out.

I laughed out loud when i finally got it though.

Forget hacker skills. Go to http://www.dsd.gov.au/employment/puzzle_corner.html
and solve the puzzles there. If you can, you score a job as a spy.

That page is pretty cool, it was completely cruisy up until level 7. Then it stumped me, and I couldn't be bothered muckin' with the PHP, which is what I figure the solution is.

You don't really have the muck around much with the php. Just look at things written in the source that stand out a bit.

Has anyone gotten to a level where they have to download some software and browse the exe with a hex editor or something? The original game I played had that... I think after that point I realised I was too crap

I gave up when the html source stopped being displayed properly and started all being in one big long line so about page 4. Use new line breaks to make your site easier to hack plz :(

edit: what's with that puzzle corner page? Do you type in answers to them somewhere? I know there's a link to the answers under all the questions but apart from that, the actual site won't give you a score?

Puzzle corner isn't about getting a score. Its a self appraisals page where you work out if you good enough to work in the DSD. The DSD is the branch of the defence force responsible (amongst other things) for the monitoring of electronic transmissions. They also run the local section of project ECHELON.

Dont know what ECHELON is? Look it up, you may not be surprised as to what it is, but you may be surprised at how long it has been in place.

theres a firefox plugin that shows you the html all nicely coloured and structured, can't remember the name

I got to level 9 and gave up. There was no source for me to view, and I couldn't see any PHP files to download and look at. Anyone got a hint to point me in the right direction?
