Ok, so I wake up today and I try to login to MSN (I'm using 7.5 and damned if i'm ever updating to that live s***) and it wont let me get past sign in without being forced to updating. Anyone else in the same boat and know how to get around this?

The day i most feared has finally come i think :(((

have you tried to accept an authorisation request? the only way i could do that was by setting up a live profile page and agreeing to a tonne of wank.

holly s***burgers talk about cross promotion. wtf should i need a live profile page to allow someone to IM me?

hey Midda, when microsoft require u to sit un a usb cock to use their service you'll happily do that too right, after-all iit's just a f***ing chat program, what's a usb cock between friends and dickward corporations, right?

there is no friendly or nice reasons to force people to signup for live & the only reason it is popular is microsft's domination of the desktop market, not because it is a superior product - it simply isn't.

I've been using msn 7.5 because live _REFUSES_ to connect, no matter what. Doesn't matter that it can actually connect through the proxies, it refuses to.

Complete anus software.

I installed aMSN and it works, once proxy info is entered.

live = +1 bs software of bs

I used to be an aMSN whore but even that got bloaty and slow, so now I'm going to be a Miranda whore instead. It's small, featureless (but has plugins if you like bloat) and works over multiple protocols.

Someone linked a program a while back that pretty much allowed you to strip msn down as much or as little as u wanted. (ads, buttons, anything u can think of it can remove)

msn in its basic form is awesome, looks nice + works...then it kind of goes to s*** with all those tabs and worthless buttons that you use once a never.

so what you end up having is .... msn 4.7 with a little bit of style!

A-Patch is the tool to customise MSN (i.e. strip all the crap out).

So msn started f***ing out on me again so i did a bit more googling

and found this: http://forum.mess.be/lofiversion/index.php/t22557.html

seems its just a simple version check because msn had some security problem with webcams.

yet to try this since im capped, but will give it ago come midnight
