Sick Chinese extremist f***s.

Chinese surgeons are planning to remove 23 needles from a woman, possibly imbedded under her skin by grandparents trying to kill her so that a baby boy might take her place.

Bloody Communists!

Why is it any more the communists fault than the people who feel it's their right to breed like rabbits?

It isn't, that was a response to CHUB. My point being that overpopulation didn't put needle's in this girl.... the grandparents did, and it had more to do with their culture than their population or any other negative characteristic we associate with China, like their red politics.

Nevertheless you sound like a commie!! traitor to our country!

They tried to kill her as laws only permit one child. They were hoping to get a boy which in their culture carry the family name and support the parents/grandparents..

Population probably has something got to do with it.. Because there are so many people, there are less opportunities in regards to work etc. So they probably see a boy having more opportunity to get work than a girl, plus the boy in their culture will support the family.. some people may think it's a way of survival, but that's bulls***..

I reckon the Chinese preference for boys goes beyond the scope of their population, politics, and laws. It is a male's responsibility to look after his parents and the parents of his wife. The chinese government actually encourages the rural families to have a second child if their first is a girl, probably because some of the older people there are quite prejudice against women.

It is an overpopulation issue, I don't think you can really argue about that.

Everytime I see Australian women on ACA/Today Tonight that have like 20 kids and say "Oh, I'm bringing so much love into the world", I want to kick them in the uterus.

FOAD! Stop having children you whores, you're reducing the standard of living.

PS: Anyone ever see that Sliders episode where they slid into a universe that had population control, was like paradise :D

I saw a doco once where chinese farmers were raising their first-born sons as daughters, so they could have another son. Was really wierd since it was kind of a kids doco - might have even been on Saturday Disney or The Big Arvo or something, and the mid-20's host guy is like talking to these trannies who grew up like that. Oh and they had some special word for it (not ladyboy, lol)

Hah - way to have an enormous women shortage China.

chub all the truly large families I've ever heard of are either some flavour of Catholic (subdue the earth and all that) or are those crazy polygamous sex cults

in either case I'd like to think the majority of these folks can afford to take care of all the bundles of joy they chose to have

non religious families have like one kid, if that - like .5 of a kid

standard of living, if anything australia needs more people

No it doesn't, living in the city is an absolute load of bollocks. It's already a gayed up "on the go" lifestyle, why do we need more people?

Na, the population control was voluntary.

Adults entered into a "lottery", where you could take out money like an ATM but for free (well sort of). Depending on how much money you took, the higher the chance of being selected was. If you got selected in the lottery, you got to spend a couple of days going around doing whatever you wanted, free everything. Then you got killed :D The rest of society looked up to you because you're making the sacrifice to improve everyone elses life.
