I have two headsets - I think both Logitech, but different models. One at work, one at home.
The sound quality is good. They work well. The microphone gives decent quality in the voice chat software that I've used (Skype, Google Talk, MSN, etc). But after an hour of wearing these things, it's like someone has taken some industrial-style clothesline pegs, wound them extra tight, and attached them to my ears. They're uncomfortable as all f*** and I can't deal with it any more - I just need to replace one set of them so when I come from work (after wearing them most of the day) and get home where I often have them on until I go to bed, I don't feel like my head is going to implode. I've had a quick look around JBs etc but they don't seem to have headsets, just headphones? Should I just give up and get a decent set of headphones an an external mike? (I have enough cords already though) |

I could've sworn I saw a few headsets at JB Hi-fi Chermside last time I was there, think they were Logitech and Sennheiser brands. It was near all the boring home office software.

Work issued me with these head phones I found them Highly comfortabe. Just get a bit hot round your ears if you listen to lound music all day :)
AKG K66 Sadly they don't do headsets, but if you cant manage to find comfy headsets then they could be an option last edited by The GuVna at 12:00:26 08/Sep/07 |

I've had 2 sets of logitechs and was not impressed by either of them.
At the moment I'm using some Plantronics .350's and the are brilliant. Nice an comfortable on the ears and also has an adjustable/flexible microphone. The have the .370's now which have a bigger driver in them. The .350's are about $30 and the .370 are around $60 from memory. |

I recently got one of these for work which I use as a softphone M214i 3-in-1 VoIP Headset It's totally awesome, light, perfect quality etc.. People often comment how good my voice sounds and skype/vent/etc $60 from umart, worth the dollars, comes with my 2 thumbs up seal of approval They have other headsets, depending on your needs, plantronics are the cheese imo Best prices here last edited by gimpy at 20:08:19 09/Sep/07 |

Before you buy anything, try one of the pairs of Sennheisers at work that came with the dell monitors. I've been using them for a few weeks and they've been fine. Not the most awesome quality for music etc but comfortable enough to wear most of the day.

Slong as it isn't one of these POS headsets, 4 thumbs down (if I had 4 hands):

Hi Trog, I used to get that feeling after only a short while with my old headphones as well. The ones I have now have fixed the problem. They are Altec Lansing ( link )
Office works have them out of the box so you can try them on (down on Milton road) I think they cost me something like 50bux. Very happy with them. |
