Ummm ... http://autopatcher.com/downloads/

You'll see an entry like:
AutoPatcher for Windows XP SP2 (32-bit) - May 2007 Core | June 2007 Update | July 2007 Update | August 2007 Core & Update

Click on one of the links (say "August 2007 Core & Update"), which will take you to a forum post with a million mirror links .. click one of said links.

Edit: Multiple reply ownage.

Yes I can see those but I swear last time I was there, there was an actual first time installer for autopatcher itself, then you download the core + updates. Oh well, maybe im just wrong. I had started to get the August one anyway, thanks.

So someone has got all the windows updates, stuck them into one big file that you can download and install? Call me paranoid but I don't trust that s***.

The difference between Autopatcher and random-executables-on-the-internet is that Autopatcher has been around for a while with an actual homepage, download mirrors and quite a loyal following.

They give heaps of information about the patches included as well as download file information (like MD5 hashes etc) so that you can actually verify the mirrored files against the originals listed on the homepage. Stuff that you take granted here :P

What's the difference between, say, autopatcher and Windows Update?

autopatcher --> not a MS trusted source

Win Update --> a Windows trusted source

Trog wasn't it you who posted the news item explaining why AusGamers had to pull all their MS patches/service packs from the AG fileserver when MS announced that it would go after anyone attempting to provide their software updates

^ Thing is if you read their FAQ, MS know about it ( Autopatcher and what they do ) and are fine with it. Autopatcher > MS Windows Update

If you'd really read their FAQ, and any other FAQs that ask the question "is this legal", you would probably assume as a baseline position that no, it is probably not legal. Pretty much any time any FAQ actually asks that question, the product you're about to download is probably not something you want to be downloading.

Also, their answer to the FAQ question is laughable anyway:
Yes, Antonis Kaladis (our project manager) once spoke to a Microsoft employee and apparently they know about us but don't care what we do! The AutoPatcher project has been going strong since 2003 and never had a sniff of trouble from Microsoft.
So many problems with that I don't know where to begin.

But just wait until someone who thinks they're up to date because they used autopatcher tries to sue Microsoft for not being up to date and we'll see how long they stay around!@#

Yep, probably - Microsoft refused us permission to mirror any of their files that weren't explicitly marked as redistributable.

I'm sure that if the Autopatcher team went out of their way to ask as well, they'd get refused permission - what they're doing is usually expressly forbidden (or at the least, not explicitly allowed) by most of the EULAs (at least the last time I read them anyway) of the software they're including.

Well 11tybillion people would be complaining that it doesn't work if Autopatcher was that "bad". Don't you think MS would have stepped in by now ? I mean, if they refused you, you would think they would refuse everyone but they have been around for years. I think you are being a little pedantic cause imo it would have been shutdown a long long long time ago if MS deemed this bad to their reputation... surely.

I just download all the windows updates to date once I've formatted, that way next time I format there isn't so many to download. I even have a nice handy little batch file that goes and installs them all for me without any interaction from me at all except for at the end when it comes time to reboot which I guess I could also make it do automatically but sometimes I use the PC while it's installing updates.

They don't deem it to be bad to their rep yet because nothing has happened....... yet.

I'd love to be able to mirror MS patches; I think BigPond users would find it quite handy (or so the 91823918329812938192 emails I've received asking why we can't mirror MS patches would have me believe). But they don't let people do it officially for a reason.

Goodbye to another useful tool that helped sysadmins apply Microsoft's numerous patches.

what bs.. Autopatcher showed us something that high school kids figure out all for themselves

personally, having the updates such down thru the lan from the server makes a whole lot more sense

I even have a nice handy little batch file that goes and installs them all for me without any interaction from me...

haha MS may kill AP, but you can't kill the idea I guess :P

why wouldn't you just make a new install cd with the updates embedded? it takes 10 mins dude

Sounds a bit dodge to me.... scarily enough, I only trust MS patches from MS.... Ok maybe not all the patches but most of them :).

Couldn't you just slip stream your Windows install instead of using some random site on the internets?
