does anyone have a enemy teritories quake wars beta key I could use for a couple of days? I can give you my msn so the second you need to log on i can get off?

Well, I suppose there is the other option of having no semi-public beta at all and release the game. Get lots of people to pay full price for it, to 'beta' test, then patch it...

You should be glad that you wont be paying full price for a game that isn't finished, much like the majority of EA's games.

If fileplanet buys the rights to run an exclusive beta test and make money off it you should welcome it. As that is extra cash going to id that can easily be justified and used to pay for any extra work cleaning up obscure bugs before a major release.

I would so, SO much rather this approach, missing out on playing a beta. Then buying an unfinished product.
Hopefully companies like EA catch on and use fileplanet and such as a way for funding those near release bug hunts that need to be done. Those bug hunts that EA seem to skip and wait for the phat loots from full price sales to come into it before starting.

so whats so good about ET quake wars? I downloaded and played vrs bots, and while the bots were gay i didn't see anything in the game that wasnt already in battlefield 2 ... and thats been out for ages.
