Van Halen to date have released eleven studio albums,[1] selling more than 80 million albums worldwide[2] and earning the band the Guinness Book of World Records title for the most number one hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock List.[3] According to the Recording Industry Association of America Van Halen is #19 on the list of top selling artists of all time (having sold more than 56 million albums in the U.S.)[4] and is one of only five rock groups that have had two albums sell more than 10 million copies in the U.S. Yeah, real one hit wonders eh? |

interesting
It will not exactly be a reunion of the classic lineup famed for such hits as Panama and Running with the Devil, because bassist Michael Anthony has been replaced by Eddie's 16-year-old son, Wolfgang. and also (heh, i dont mind jump and hot for teacher though) quoting for spook liking a guitar song |

Not only is it a good song, but hot for teacher does have one of the greatest film clips of all time. Glad to see it already in the thread.

Not only is it a good song, but hot for teacher does have one of the greatest film clips of all time.It is also the reason why CDs ever since had ratings & the s***ty stickers on the front (read up about it). VH rocks - I'd love to see them live... |

If my memory serves me correct, wasn't it Eddie who practically invented finger tapping?

nah it was emmett chapman who popularised it - as for who invented it, who knows? stringed instruments have been around for a loooooooong time and you don't need an electric to do it

It was kinda impressive to hear Gary Cherone got the chance to front VH, but to be honest I was hoping for the followup from the Extreme III concept albumn (hoping that VH had learned more in the time since the 80s.. not an abortion. Great albumn btw.. it's a shame they couldn't shake the 'let's do this for money' attitude and just work at their craft.)
