Is it possible to sort of disable web browser functions after loading a page? For example, to prevent loading a massive quicktime movie in a browser and then stupidly clicking "back" or a link from an MSN conversation that loads in the same window.

yer, If you're using firefox with tab mix plus (and why wouldnt you be?) you just right click the tab and select protect tab. Maxthon has a similar if not identical feature.
