It's not supposed to start airing until the end of September, these just appear to be from some pre-release DVD. A bit of a tease considering you will have to wait until mid October for the next instalments!

people are saying there was a convention just recently and tv critics were given a dvd with these two eps on it, which is where this probably leaked from.

can anyone that's read book 2 confirm it doesn't start off similarly with the same discovery? many online comments i've read said s1 deviated from the book at the end, but the only person i know irl read the book says it didn't significantly deviate at all.

Good news, hasn't been any good tv released online for a while now.

Hrmm, on second thoughts, I think I'm gonna wait until september. I think watching the first few episodes and then having to wait months for the rest would be worse than not seeing any of it :(

Does anyone find the acting or moments in the series awkward? Kinda out of sync. Or maybe just bad acting?

It's mainly his sister. =\

i think its meant to be like that Enigma, Sorta portraying how dexter feels about everything.

So far I liked season one better but we are only half way through season 2.

LOVE Dexter HATE his sister.
Darla (aka Rita) is far more sexed up this season. What was wrong with her being all pale and frail? It suited her.

And his sponsor just makes me want to punch the screen!!!

I may just go watch Six Feet Under now I know he was in it! He is also rumoured to play wolverine!

He has also been on broadway! NOT what I expected

If they kept Rita all pale and what not then she would have clashed too much with Lila. Also, Rita is a complete honey bunny as well.

ive just started watching this (yes, i knew it was good, everyone i know has been hassling me to watch it)

love the characters, just a little put off by the actual storyline for season 1

seems just a bit farfetched that the ice killer knows dexter so well, has such easy access to his appartment, knows who dexter is and what he does

that said, im only half way through the series, so if it gets a decent explanation, i wont feel so cheated

you're posting in a very old thread

on the subject though, i watched both seasons not long ago

his NA sponsor made me want to touch myself in naughty places, she was f***ing RAD

his sister is annoying sometimes

i enjoyed seeing rita half naked sometimes, she's pretty sexy

i liked season 2 more probably

I found S2 was slow to start, but picked up pace around the middle and just kept going. Keen to see what S3 will hold! (when/if this stupid writers strike ends)

Six Feet Under is a very depressing show. It's good, but very depressing. The first season is a bit more lively with dark humour, but by the end it becomes a drain to watch.

If you are out to try something new but old and to the same sort of quality, then checkout Oz. I don't know anyone that's started from season 1 episode 1 and not been totally amazed and captivated. You'll watch it episode after episode until irresponsibly late in the morning.

I find it hard to motivate myself to watch Dexter. It's really good once you're watching it, but I seem to have an aversion to actually STARTING to watch an episode. I have that same damn problem with Six Feet Under too. I think I have to wait till more people in my life die before I should get into watching shows like these.

another show i've been put onto is called Satisfaction

it's aussie and it's about these girls that work in a brothel, each episode is about one of the girls

lots of titties and sex

Spook - I figured out how the ice truck killer knew so much, however I convinced myself I was wrong. I wasn't :D

It gets so much better! Stay tuned! Good "Can't go out, have to look after kids" tv material :D

I was under the impression that both seasons (of 12 eps each) were already out in the US. Is it another show with a confused naming convention on the scene? At any rate, I've seen 24 eps of Dexter and thoroughly enjoy it. The only thing that really s***s me about the show is how Dex goes on about how he doesn't have feelings when he clearly does.

I'm not sure if it's feelings, or a sense of attachment that he's showing..

Yeah, I've noticed that too. In the books though, he certainly does seem a lot more emotionless.

I don't think that sociopaths have no emotions, I think they just have very shallow emotions. So they tend to have to fake their emotions or whatever. They don't get the same fuzzy feeling other people get. They still get angry, etc. They just don't tend to have remorse, guilt, shame. They can't empathise and lie a lot (pathological lying maybe?). I'm not a psychologist, but that's my understanding. In the books Dexter is a lot colder. Then again the story is a fair bit different too :)

well, there's always some of the book plots to follow along with:

Spoiler:
I beleive the third book has Dexter realising that Cody & Astor (rita's daughter & son) are exhibiting the same tendancies he was at that age. So Dexter takes it upon himself to train them like how Harry trained Him..

Of course, that could be ignored much like the storyline from the second book was ignored

Spoiler:
Given that Doakes & Dex have to team up to solve a crime in the 2nd book - Dearly Devoted Dexter - yet Doakes goes boom in the tv show..

The ending to S2 sucked so much balls.
Spoiler:
How does such a careful person like Dexter forget about the stupid navigation system in his s***ty soccer mum car

The ending worked fine for me -

Spoiler:
It wrapped up the whole Bay Harbour Butcher thing fairly neatly, solved the issue of what to do with Doakes and killed off Lilah. Thought it was a nice tidy end to a good season & didn't leave any real loose plot lines sticking around

Season one gets released next week on DVD. Paramount sent our work a small body bag with a pair of latex gloves and some other promo stuff. The bag is about twice the size of a DVD case and you're meant to put the case inside the bag.

Very damn cool.

yer, just finished season two last nite, loved it;

was a little bit iffy on the first season, but found the second season to be a bit tighter, perhaps more believable Spoiler:
even with him just leaving the nav system sitting around

i actually saw a billboard out on the northside with a goofy pixture of dex and the slogan "everyone loves dexter" which i thought was pretty weird!

bring on the third season!
