im a bit of an amature not having gone overseas or drunk anywhere except in brisbane really.

however

i have 2 that are equally as f***ed

half barcardi 151 half absynth shot. - could have been the fact i had 2, but i was f***ed and it tasted f***ing STUPIDLY bad


and

blue dragon - all this s*** f***s me what, they light it on fire , put a coaster over the cup to catch all the fumes, poke a hole thru it, u suck up the fumes thru a straw then have the shot. the fumes burns about 10000000 times worse then the drink


and for getting extra maggot quick (expensively)

you know jbombs? well, instead of red bull, use a smirnoff double black with a shot of blue curaco in it. and then the bomb. but before you touch that drink, have a shot of jager

so

shot the jager. drink the smirnoff / curaco / jager concotion. pity it costs $30 bucks

For my birthday this year I had to drink a dirty pint...that was pretty f***ed up.

Pretty much a double shot each of whisky, vodka, gin and rum poured into a pint then filled up with beer...then down that quickly.

Worst tasting drink would be this really cheap baijiu type thing in the shops here. Worst thing ever but it is 50% alcohol or something so it does the job.

Buckets in thailand, basically theyd just tip a whole s***load of alcohol into a bucket + bit of juice and softdrink + blue s*** to make it even seedier. Cost was 9-10bucks and you'd be gooooone after 2 of em. One night I had about 4 of the c***s and it was probably the messiest drunk experience of my life.

chartreuse would have to be the most foul drink ever

no idea why you would drink it when absinthe is slightly easier to stomach and more potent

What are you on about? It has to be fermented from some type of grain/vegetable...

Vodka is distilled and filtered to the buggery, like you can taste the potato at all. The end product should be water + pure alcohol, the water and it's impurities is what gives each vodka the unique taste.

Chartreuse is the worse I've had, I would never have bacardi 151.

Only shots I do these days are jager bombs, but they actually taste nice and are good fun

That's just vodka for you :) I'm pretty sure by definition vodka can be any type of grain/vegetable as long as it's distilled/filtered enough, but I was under the impression that the large majority of vodka is potato based.

I would think most of the largest selling brands would be grain based these days. But yeah, it was one of the worst things I had ever tasted. I like my shots, but that was the stuff reflux is made of.

Anyway to answer the question, my mate made me something called a "Car Bomb"... it was supposed to curdle in your stomach or something.

Don't know if it did, but it sure tasted like s***.

oh yeah iv done a cement mixer once before but it wasnt baileys and lime juice.

it was 3 seperate shots, you have 2 and hold them in your mouth and mix them together

then have the 3rd and the s*** like curdles and goes all gluggy in ur mouth.. makes u wanna gag


151 + absynth is far worse tho

Dawson does indeed have a famous drink called the Sour Toe Cocktail, which contains an actual alcohol-preserved human toe. No kidding. Head down to the Sourdough Saloon at the Downtown Hotel and you can watch the bizzare activity, or for $10 you can try the cocktail yourself, and if successful, get a certificate. This traditon started in 1973, with what is said to be the toe of a miner, which had been amputated in the 1920's. Not strictly foul, but damn painful is the 'Stuntman Tequila'. Take a normal tequila slammer shot. Put the salt on your hand and have the slice of lemon waiting.

Now, Snort the salt up your nose, down the shot and then squeeze the lemon in your eye.

You will be writhing in blind agony while laughing hysterically. Plus, you will have proved yourself to be a brave, yet light-hearted kinda guy and will immediately have the respect of every girl the party!

Seconding Stroh, and it's actually from Austria. You can get it in 40%/60% and the oh so evil 80%.

Also there's a killer shot here called døds chicano, a combination of tequila/tobasco.

Another killer is my mate's home-made cherry schnapps from Switzerland. Apparently they feed it to the cows there! heh

Also Ouzo! We (4 good friends) have a tradition we call "Ouzo nights", basically the only drink allowed is Ouzo, straight, from a shotglass (and you can't miss rounds, everyone shots at the same time). Typically a person gets through a 700ml bottle in just over an hour, everynight ends with significant injuries.

We got gigs of footage from each Ouzo night, best clip is after we were playing "commando's" at our old highschool and my mate fell off the room of the canteen and gashed his back open on the tin. Anyway, when we got back to his house, he asked us to give him a one of those deoderant burns right into the wound... after wasting a s***load of rexona (and begging for more?) we proceeded to pour Ouzo itself into the wound, and then later on nail polish remover... then he was really screaming.

Fun times! The last Ouzo night before he went to the army, he was so pissed he started punching holes in his wall, then randomly ripped off all his clothes then ran out into the streets, didn't see him for a while.

I recommend Ouzo nights for hilarity and injuries.

Go to the chalk and see the kiwi bloke up at the bar where the dance floor is, and ask for a flaming blue dragon.

Kahlua, frangelico, Galliano, baileys, chartreause, topped with blue curacao.

Poor it into a martini glass, light it up, shot it through a straw (this needs to be done quickly so it doesn't melt) then he'll put a glass with an ice-cube over whatever is left. This causes the remaining alcohol to give off smoke, which he then makes you inhale through the same straw you shotted it through.

Pretty wild, not sure if the smoke does anything, after 2 of them your feeling pretty happy, it doesn't taste all that great but you can feel it working straight away. Not yet paid for one yet so not sure how much it would cost, but considering it has 6 shots in it your looking at $30+.

hi, cocktail bartender, beverage controller at a restaurant with one of brisbane's best wine lists.

ok, let me get this straight. because of my first absolute blinder (everyone's had it, you know the one where you spend at least 3 hours swearing to a toilet seat you'll never do it again, if only the pain will go away), apart from anything with heavy anise flavours like sambuca, ouzo, pernod, ricard, absynthe - both parisian and slovakian styles, or the herbaceous monastic liqueurs like DOM benedictine and chartreuse, I LOVE BOOZE. bourbon, rum, beer, gin, liqueurs, cocktails, cognac, armagnac, port, wine of every variety, vodka (as much as anything distilled to 98% and carbon filtered to buggery can be considered to taste like anything) and scotch. oh dear god. there's nothing better than sitting having a yarn with your best friend in the world over a bottle of excellent single malt.

every single type of booze can have its soul, its character ripped out, the purpose for its existence removed from any relevance. any booze can be done really, really badly.

but, when it is done well i somehow feel like i am more enriched for having tried it.

but to answer your question, one night about 3.5 years ago, i had worked a split on friday, finished at 4am, rocka's til 5am, boom til noon, boys' place til 6pm, back to work on saturday night and 1am sunday morning my GM calls us all to the bar for depth charges with carlton draught in rocks glasses and a mix of chartreuse and benedictine shot, lit and dropped in to the beer. gah.

really depends where you get them. when i was at the regretta, blue dragons were 151 and blue curacao, lit, shot and inhaled.
