Judging by that website it looks like English is now optional at school.
Pretty tragic that a couple of 16 year olds would do that though. last edited by mission at 23:05:01 23/Apr/07 |

Hell, one look at myspace.com and my firefox refuses to connect to the internet I have to close it & reopen it to even get anywhere. |

And you thought two girls killing themselves was emo enough..
http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/we-wanted-to-kill-someone-teen-killers/2007/04/23/1177180561773.html One of them snuck up behind Eliza as she was reading, wrapped speaker wire twice around her throat and quickly tightened it as the other held her down, trying to press a chemical soaked cloth into her mouth. |

Is it just me or this is a after effect of trying to stop bullies? Showing my age here but when I was in school any bloke who put on makeup would have been flogged. Are we running out of nelson's in our schools? This would just be a gold mine imagine been surrounded by these sort of pussies. You would have lots of lunch money every day to spend. They would probably just go and listen to some s*** band, cry and talk about their feelings.

Yeah I can tell u for a fact that when my school introduced a hardline "bullying policy" things went to utter s***. The oldskool system was rough but it worked, and produced young men with thick skins. When the bullying policy came in, homies/gangs started appearing within the school and couldnt be controlled.

How many emos does it take to change a light bulb? None - they'd rather sit in the dark and cry.
Also, I once saw this emo in the city wearing a black shirt with massive writing saying "people hate me" ahhahahahha. felt like hitting him/her/whatever it was |

i use to hate bullys in school and always felt victimised and singled out, then i realised that they only gave me attention when i did stupid attention seeking s*** that really i shouldnt of done. in saying that some of the other kids that use to get picked on really didn't deserve, most were abo's or chinks and the bullying was plane racist and uncalled for, most of them were quite academic and really nice kids that would never hurt a fly, this of course all changed in high school when all the blacks and chinks stuck together and nobody f***ed with them, this worked well for me aswell since i was good friends with alot of them.
but yeah it did make them stronger people as f***ed up as it was sometimes, as for me i didnt learn my lesson till i left high school and got out into the real world and realised that kind of attention is f***ed. |

Bullies balance out the natural order of things. Without them kids who were smart would not know their place. The nerds would go round picking on anybody who didn't know how to HTML properly. And lets face facts been able to do is not as important as been able to get somebody to give you their lunch money. The weak need to know why they are here. And the bullies get reminded on why they are here when they spend their lives fixing up the roads outside the nerds mansion.

Life itself has a way of culling the weak, allowing a voice to the pathetic and tough, whilst allowing the strong to prevail.
Bullies are simply another link in the food chain. They remain in that link until such time as somebody they cannot bully comes along and puts them in their place. The greatest satisfaction in life is educating bullies, and you get even more satisfaction from helping them to achieve a better life. Children these days are raised weaker than their predecessors. Parenting skills have deteriorated over the past decades, and kids grow up thinking that they are bulletproof, have little respect for themselves let alone others, and some of their thinking is dominated by movie and television themes. Children are a reflection of their upbringing and the society that they grow up in. Many kids are abused, tampered with, treated with contempt or allowed to run their own lives with little or no real life experience. f***ed up kids in a f***ed up society. A society where hope goes out the window when all they hear about is how the environment is getting worse, water is getting scarcer, and the world leaders let it happen. Growing images of terrorism and war, reports screaming how hopeless the wars are, how hopeless the world is getting. Yes, what answers are truly available to explain why a couple of kids would go out and kill themselves. Or why a couple of other kids would strangle and kill their friend. Or why others would run through a school shooting other students. I pose a question. If a person is confronted with a life or death decision, and has a right at law to take a life in self-defence. Does that person have a similar right to exercise self-defence against an entity that acts in a manner that is detrimental to their welfare? Some scenarios might be: 1. A company spewing poison into the air, or polluting the waterways, or contributing to the degradation of an environment that is slowly becoming devoid of the necessities of life; or 2. An authority that allows a practice that is slowly denying that person of the necessities of life. Does a person have a right to protect their way of life, to act against aggressive actions that are identified as being responsible for the degradation of their quality of life? If so, what action should be taken? ^_^ |

Bullies are simply another link in the food chain. They remain in that link until such time as somebody they cannot bully comes along and puts them in their place. gimpy, sorry to hear that you got bullied. Most of us do at some stage in life. However, you put them in their place. On the matter of my post, could you please refrain from taking the first part of my paragraph and quoting it out of context when the second paragraph clearly answers your gripe. Bullies have, and will always exist. However, they hold a higher station in the food chain until such time as they are educated to the contrary. You did that with your bully, and I assume that the bullying stopped from the point forward. Good on you for moving up in the food chain, but learn from it, and don't become a bully yourself. last edited by FurryBear at 23:36:40 24/Apr/07 |

Life is full of shouldn't haves, shouldn't be's, maybe this, maybe that. Those girls are dead, you cannot undo what has happened. Also, I grew up on the lower end of the food chain, until such time as I decided that I wanted to be further up the chain. Self-defence is a person's right, but humanity is more concerned about their own self, rather than the bigger picture. How is it going to be in another few years, when places like Toowoomba or other drought ravaged areas have no drinking water. Our quality of life deteriorates at an incredible pace, and I really feel sorry for some of you kids. It is going to be up to you youngs ones to either change things or act in the future, but I often wonder whether the young ones have the metal or backbone to do what is required of them. Hit the sack gimpy and sleep it off mate. You might be required one day to stand up for yourself in a manner that you never thought possible, and only you can ensure that you have the metal to make it happen.

FurryBear, you talk alot of s*** about how the world is becoming worse.
Bullies are simply another link in the food chain. They remain in that link until such time as somebody they cannot bully comes along and puts them in their place. The greatest satisfaction in life is educating bullies, and you get even more satisfaction from helping them to achieve a better life.its the pecking order, not the food chain. Children these days are raised weaker than their predecessors. not really? Parenting skills have deteriorated over the past decades, and kids grow up thinking that they are bulletproof, yeah, because kids back in the begining of WWII didn't think they where bullet proof. i mean, with signing up to the army at 17 and such. have little respect for themselves let alone others, and some of their thinking is dominated by movie and television themes. Children are a reflection of their upbringing and the society that they grow up in. Many kids are abused, tampered with, treated with contempt or allowed to run their own lives with little or no real life experience. how is that any different to 10 or 50 or 100 years ago? A society where hope goes out the window says who? water is getting scarcer, and the world leaders let it happen. and the world leaders are elected by us and its the voters responsibility to not let this happen. don't blame others for our own short fall. Growing images of terrorism and warGrowing? go back to the middle ages, and visit the crusaides. hell, world is fairly peacefull for the time being in comparison to alot of history. reports screaming how hopeless the wars are, how hopeless the world is getting.here is this "hopeless" thing again. Yes, what answers are truly available to explain why a couple of kids would go out and kill themselves. Or why a couple of other kids would strangle and kill their friend. Or why others would run through a school shooting other students.because they are unstable people, like aldof hitler. I pose a question. If a person is confronted with a life or death decision, and has a right at law to take a life in self-defence. Does that person have a similar right to exercise self-defence against an entity that acts in a manner that is detrimental to their welfare? Some scenarios might be:now as far as i know, the law states that "equal force for self defence" is lawful. so if the government turns off your water supply, drane mr. howards pool for drinking water. Does a person have a right to protect their way of life, to act against aggressive actions that are identified as being responsible for the degradation of their quality of life? If so, what action should be taken?Resonable force.. how is this relevent? people who say "the world is so much worse than it used to be" really irritate me. the world is a f***ton better than it used to be. especially in more developed countries. |
