Movie link

Just went and saw this tonight, and I'd have to say, i thought this movie was excellent. Great thriller/drama, really get's the mood right with sets and camera shots. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was kinda interesting and okay until they brought in the whole Spoiler:
mysterious person/monster from the other ship
thing, then it just turned dumb.

From the trailer it looks like another "omfg an alienz have invaeded our space shipz" type movie, the mission gets shagged and everyone but one dies. Am I totally off the mark or are they just incapable of piloting a ship to a point in space and launching a missile because they all get cabin fever?

Spoiler your answer or not I don't care if the end of a movie gets spoiled, it's more the enjoyment of watching it than "whoa cool that ending was fantastic, not at all what I expected" for me.

edit: answered by saint, guess I should learn to type faster.

I was hoping it was gonna be something realistic like that Core movie where they drill to the center of the earth and set off nukes to get the planet stable again.

I mean going within arms reach of the sun is entirely plausible if not for the fact that a pinhead sized droplet of the sun's fusion reaction can burn a 100km hole in our planet...

If anything I'm glad I saw it on the big screen because by any other means the movie would have plain sucked.
what was with the ending? Did they make it up as they went along? Got a bit lost there..

what are ya's talking about, I went and saw this with a couple m8's and all thought that this was one of the biggest pos movies evar :/

One of the things I hated was the camera work all shaky n s*** too frequently, couldn't see s***, just got annoyed watching that movie.

see. Gossy doesn't lie. (note: that was a true story, he marched in, told me it was crap, then asked me what I'd seen. I replied with Blades of Glory, and he said... "Never heard of it")

i'm pretty sure that part was to do with what they were saying earlier in the movie, that as they get closer to the sun, the velocities involved slow down time, etc, etc.

so while it's a bit of a stretch, i didn't consider it to be too much though

the most unbelievable premise for a movie... EVAHHHH!!! :P

Spoiler:
surely everyone knows that 99.8% of the matter in this solar system is the sun. all of the matter on earth represents less than 0.01% of the total mass. all of the neuclear feul available for mining on earth would represent a miniscule fraction of that 0.01%.. which on impact with the sun would do nothing at all.

add to that horrible acting & constant plot holes.. the only thing this pos had going for it was the special fx & they were all in the advertisement for it :/

I was hoping it was gonna be something realistic like that Core movie where they drill to the center of the earth and set off nukes to get the planet stable again.

ahhahahahah xactly... love yur work rev :D

I'd go see 300 or TMNT instead (or go see one of them again if you've already been to each of them once).
