I have vague memories of this but i think the only reason the chargers were disbanded was because of the whole super league fiasco. ARL were the administrators for the goldcoast licence and were forced to disband the team due to a compromise with news ltd.

i was thinking that in all those years the gold coast didnt have a team people there would have gone for another team like the broncos do you switch 'your team' just because they built another one closer to where you live? i never quite figured out how this works with footy fans. |
