Hey all. Long story short, I impulsively had to play at open mic night at UQ last Tuesday night, and basically I rocked, and the fella there asked me if I could play for a few hours tomorrow lunch time. I'm playing for beer and tips (a tip jar will be on the bar for me)... which is fine by me - you pay for what you get: I'm not going to rehearse much or learn many new songs... but I will be very entertaining. The more fun I have the more fun people have watching.

So,

Where: UQ Red Room (student pub)

When: ~11am to about 3/4pm. The guy said I could play between 11 and 3 or 4 or some s***! LOLZ I'll just be playing a lot of instrumental stuff and do a few vocal lead guitar bits here and there to fill out the time.

What: Britney Spears to Muse to James Blunt to Paul Kelly. I try to play a lot of stuff that you don't normally here live. I might even belt out a bit of Sexy Back.

How much: FREE! Red Room does reasonably priced lunch meals and beer as cheap as you'll find anywhere else. If you want to chip in a few cents into my tip jar then sweetas.

on the topic of gigs, Ill be at the RE on saturday night with my band doing the cover band thing.

Realy wish they didnt have the crappy noise restrictions there, that place would go off if you could actually turn the music up louder than the crowd.

lol^^ make sure they turn the house music off. I've been there so many times the band will be blaring out some rock stuff, and then from the speakers around the pub there will be pop music playing out just as loudly.
