Nintendo have revealed their latest Wii channel, the "Everybody Votes Channel".
Basically, it is a series of polls that are updated regularly keeping 3 questions running at all times. Each poll lasts about a week. The polls are categorized by region and global.
When you vote for a poll, you are also given the option of predicting the overall outcome of the poll. When the results are tallied, your prediction accuracy is calculated.
Users can also suggest polls.

Worst. Channel. Ever.

Seriously, it assaulted me with about 45 dialogue boxes before I even saw a question. It is full of needless clicking, for example after you use a two button combination to drag your character to a voting position, and clicking "Vote", you must still confirm it in a dialogue box. On top of that, there's hardly any new content.

i was expecting some live interaction with other people in real time, but i guess this is just a step in that direction.

I think it's cool. I never expected to get so much non-game game entertainment out of the Wii.

Also, I swear I was at catsordogs.com the other day and there was the exact same game, sans cute graphics.

It's in the shop channel, not the update, though probably best to update the Wii first. Current version is 2.1E I thinks.

Nintendo stated that the channels they would be introducing, would be the type that made you turn the Wii ON daily whether you were going to play games or not.
This is a good example.
Many will tune in and vote despite it's uselessness.

They just updated MK64 to fix a bug on the title screen. Nothing new.
