For some reason, when ever i open a clip in a media player it has a weird colour, blacks look like a sort of grey and the are like a darker but more eluminating if that makes sence. I have no idea what the f*** is going on ? how do I delete codecs ?

Don't bother playing with codecs. Just use the VLC player, comes with its own codecs that don't mess with your system.

Plays most formats without effort, including DVDs:

its not that demon, cause it works sometime in divx and quicktime but to much fast forwarding will f*** it up. i dunno what the f*** to do.

I had that same exact problem, I blame my s***ty ATI video card and their buggyass mofo drivers. I had to fiddle with the "enable overlay" options in VLC for it to work. I also had that problem with my nvidia card but that was ms's windows media decoder hurling itself out the window (I had the problem with flv's this time so wasn't ms's fault).

in short, ati sux, nvidia rools!!!!11. fiddle with the enable overlay stuff/reinstall your video card.

check your desktop colour, try either 16 or 32 bit. I have seen this before and for some reason changing the colour depth fixed the problem.
