Hey guys im trying to fix a computer for a friend,,, i diagnosed the problem as a fault ram module... now the computer has a working SD PC133 64mb stick., and im trying to install a SD PC133 256 stick.... it wont reconise the 256 not matter what i try... any iideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated TA :)...

have you tried taking out the smaller stick?
perhaps for some reason the laptop can't accept a 256mb stick. |

Do you have any other smaller modules, like a 128 or something?
Maybe that stick is faulty? depending on how old it is, it could be incompatible or unable to handle that size stick. Maybe put the 64meg stick in and try and find a BIOS update? That is a few things i would try anyway. GL! |
