just bought another copy of q3(last one was stolen many years ago)

The sound is playing up a bit..there is a delay when firing and hearing it go off..was this always the case, I can't remember..

If this wasn't always the case, how do i fix?

what vid card and sound card are u using?

vid - asus en7600gt
sound - soundblaster audigy value

I'll try to dig some old stuff i had on q3 soound issues/fixes.

oh and I see that the QGL signatures are playing up again. :(

i read something bout like cg or cl_doppler..but that made no diff

Have you got another sound card you can try?

I remember fixing this once by swapping 2 slightly different Soundblaster live cards.

One PC had this issue, one didn't.

After the swap neither PC had the sound delay.

Try playing with the Hardware acceleration slider in your sound settings in control panel.
Put it all the way up, or if it's already there try lowering it.

Ya know if you just install it to a 2nd HDD it'll work even if you haveto reinstall your system drive from scratch eh?

i bought it from eb..they were selling q1, q2 and q3 in the one package for $29.95..bargain!

now i had invalid cd key error when trying to connect to servers...
