Belkin - Nostromo n50 SpeedPad, while only new on the market, has anyone seen these in stores around brisbane yet? after reading a few reviews, they do sound like they might actualy be usefull, they look funky. And it would be a nice way (and a good way to spend xmas money) to try somthing new with gaming.

well its a bitch to use when you need like 15+ keys :)
but seams pretty good for Quake, it works by maping / binding keys from your keyboard, its usb only, but works pretty well. oh and BLUE LED! anyway, so far i have made a basic set of keys for Quake 3 urban terror and then two extra sub levels that tempoary activate when you press some other keys, you can have your regular bad, and three other sub levels, all indicated via led status lights. i belive there was a rievew in a past Atomic, got a good one too.

after a bit of testing, it seams there is one major flaw in the design of this thing, its not very well handeling holding down 4-5+ buttons at a time, and especialy if you bring the thumb D-Pad into it :\

but generaly, its pretty sweet
