OK, so for xmas my bro's bought my old man some $1,000 BBQ - can't wait to test that out when I go home, and they were meant to have bought my mum an LCD tv for the kitchen (I spose somewhere around the 30-40cm range). Long story short they went tight ass and bought a f***ing $99 alldie (aldi) special and its shyte from what I hear.

I am coming home in a week and a half (woot!!) and was going to buy my mummy a LCD TV duty free (do they do them duty free?) as a suprise, coz I am such a kick ass son!

So tell me what the best and/or good LCD's in the 30-40cm range - price doesn't phase me too much (at this stage).

First time i went there to check it out, i saw an exploded can of tomato puree sitting on the shelf with maggots / gross smell coming from it.

Never been to aldi since :)

Would an LCD tv be ok in a kitchen? I mean it'd get covered in grease & stuff & need cleaning fairly often I'm assuming. I guess it depends on where you put it or something.

it will be well away from the food prep/cooking area, our kitchen / dining room is kinda joined - its more the dining room and it'll sit on top of a freezer thingo

LCD is the way to go, or I could get an old school TV, but f***it - LCD time!

Tell your mum to focus less on TV and more on cooking your dinner.
