Fox had always said that they had originally only ordered 16 episodes in season 4 and would consider ordering more based on its ratings.
Since season 4 has rated poorly, it's no surprise they've axed it.

Season 1 was the best, that's all there is to say.

well it pretty much went the same way as dawsons creek - once they left school what the f*** was there to do.

my favorite shows at the moment are:
Entourage - if you havn't seen this show its awsome its about an actor and his entourage of mates, hilarious.
Dexter - wickedly entertaining. Story of a serial killer with morals.. awsome new concept for a show
Heroes - I like marvel and DC comics movies and i like hot bitches if you like these things this is the show for you.
BSG - simply awsome, Admiral adama could kick jack bauer's ass
SG: Atlantis - better than all the other stargate shows, kinda cheesy but a good time filler
The Wire - Good HBO cop show about drugs and cops, bit more hard line than your average wednesday night CSI
Trailer Park Boys - This is the funniest thing the canadians have ever done.

At the moment I'm sticking with Battlestar Galactica and Heroes. OC....pffft, why watch that when you can watch Laguna beach and see what it's really like I've never seen someone hurt their brain trying to choose a pair of sunglasses to wear from the bedroom to the toilet until I watched that show. I don't think much of the planet is going to bemoan the loss of the OC really....and hopefully Laguna beach will follow.

I watched some show on TV the other night called Ultimate Force (I think) - that looked pretty good, it's a UK-based special ops team kicking ass.

OHhhhh yeaaaa!!! Prison Break rocks too, but I would have to say 24 >. What season are we up to on TV? I just finished watching the season 1 box set for 24.

I never saw a single episode of the OC, but by the looks of things, i didn't miss much.

I accidentally saw 5 minutes of it while channel surfing once. It came across as the days of our lives with teenagers.

24 season 5 finished and is onto season 6 now.. woot.
