Ok well I'm really in need of a Linksys WRT54G wireless router today but Umart is closed and I don't know what else is open today. Anyone know of a place that is open and has them in stock? I'm on the northside and willing to travel southside and further if I have to.

The only two places I'm aware of are open are MSY at Slacks Creek and Gamedude.

It's a shame that neither seem to sell the Linksys :(

Computer Alliance are, but they don't seem to stock them either.

^^ They're in the valley. at little bit more from umart yes, but they don't aim at the same market as umart.

Any particular reason for the WRT54G?

The WRT54GL has either the same or more flash/RAM than the 54G, depending on the version that you are given .. and the newer 54G's don't run Linux, so no 3rd-party firmware like dd-wrt will work.

On the other hand, all WRT54GL routers run Linux and have 16MB Ram, 4MB Flash .. so it's guaranteed to be moddable :)

Here's an online demo of the dd-wrt firmware if anyone wants to see what features it has, without owning the router:

I want/need one as soon as possible, I don't wanna have to wait a week for them to get one in.

Well I just went and ordered a WRT54GL off oztechnologies for slightly cheaper than umart but still have to wait till the 2nd anyway.
