The only problem with NYE parties, is they tend to wind down not long after it hits midnite - and if you're not in a good position to hit the town afterwards, it can be a bit of a downer.

It all depends tho if you usually:

(a) start partying early than usual and consider midnite the climax of the evening

or

(b) start at the usual time, and midnight is just the halfway point.

I went clubs the last few new years and its the same as any other night. Party ftw, everyone should be magget so midnight is early days.

its clubs most biggest nights, all clubs will be open all night, however the only differenece is most clubs will open earlier then 9pm most will open there doors earlier...


BTW who is going to the NYE Ball at Brisbane City Hall?

the key to new years eve is to ignore it imo, its too hard to co-ordinate your 'fun' to one stupid countdown before midnight.

I use it as an excuse to get all my mates together in the one place, and I'd rather that one place was a house, rather than some ridiculous line-up to pay $20 covercharge for a packed nightclub where you can't drink OR dance cos theres too many people, then you cant go home cos theres no cabs

You're probably right, tho it sucks to be, say, in a cab when the clock hits 12...

Getting home has never been a problem for me - thanks to the Nightbus..

clubs are open till their normal hours and there's no lockout

We are open till 7am + no lockout.
