I've got this;

- AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200
- Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4
- 2 x 1Gb DDR2
- 256Mb PCI-X ATI Radeon X1600 Pro
- WinXP + SP2
- Latest ATI/Mobo/etc drivers

3DMark 06 has a score of about 1850 and the fps on all the demos is crap ( < 10fps). Any ideas on what's wrong with it? I've searched around trying to find anything to help get better performance as I think it should be better than this.

Slower CPU but O/C'd, basically cpu won't do much for 3dmark compared to videocard...

eg: compare same cpu as above with faster videocard

3D Mark tries to be as much about the video card as it can be. Later versions are less affected by CPU speed than earlier versions like '01.

1600 is a s*** card.
really s*** as in as crap as goldfish

make sure you have the very latest bios for your mobo ect.. ecyt. and if you want email me and I can send you a 'Dual Core Hotfix' that AMD released when those chips arrived that address the slow issue on some sytems.
