Same writer/graphic artist. I imagine they're trying to get the same feel for his art in movie form much as they did with Sin City. That was another awesome movie...

When compared to the vanity fair pic it's quite obvious. Remember that the wedding pics are many months after birth... and them hiding their cursed child make sense when you consider that tom may just be as completely crazy as people make out, himself included.
