Cheapass 51cm LCD tv at coles. MTV brand, $199. Anyone know if they're decent? No info on google.

I got an MTV STB it works fine but kinda s*** built.

Still, the $199 lcd is tempting....

I haven't seen/heard anything about it, but wow that does sound tempting.

i checked the specs, they seem fine. Great refresh rate. They come in either black or red.

Only problem is they are made out of paper mache

We have an MTV DVD recorder/HDD recorder. It's crap to use but it does the job.

ok i scouted around. Couldnt see any at indooroopilly coles, but they had a 38cm one but im not sure how much it was cos it didnt have a tag and i didnt bother asking.

I got the last one at st. lucia coles. It's silver.

i just went to my local coles to check it out but htey had none

then after reading what the res is on it, :( - if i ever buy an lcd tv id pay the extra just to be able to make monitor use out of it

Coles at Greenslopes sell them and those set top box thingys too. Havent seen the DVD recorders there though.

i suggested the aldi tvs could be used as a montior as they had a pretty good resolution 1368x720 (or what ever it was)

my tele does 1280x720 and i use it as a monitor off the lappy and it works excellently

perfectly even, cant get over how good media looks on it

do these teles even have vga inputs?

I'd be interested in picking one up just to hook my PS2 and Wii into. I'd rather get a PS2 VGA cable to plug it into my old 17inc LCD though... Pain in the arse finding one at a decent price on the net though :(

they had the 34cm ones for $129, and had one of the 51cm ones left but labelled as $399?

the picture quality isnt like, amazing... its quite standard ... but i like it.. dont expect something really good hey... but its good enough for me !
