Anyone had any experience with these?
I'm thinking of getting one so as to reduce the amount of neck tilt that I do when in front of my PC. I've already raised my monitor up around 20 odd cm's however I'm also wanting to be able to lean back fully so that my neck is straight instead of being on perm forward tilt when / if my chair is full recline mode. Like I said, has anyone ever used on for a larger size widescreen monitor? Just had a quick look on CA's site an the options they have there are limited to 22" I currently have a 20" widescreen which I was considering upgrading to a 22" (as 24" sits too close on the desk for you to be able to fully view the entire screen at once) however I'm thinking that with an adjustable arm, a 24" solution is back under consideration. Just wondering if anyone knows of a component that does 24" before I go sniffing around Any (relevant) thoughts? Current setup http://www.users.on.net/~thevault/HERMITech/Monitor_Stand.jpg |

don't those ones with the big spring loaded arm take up a lot of room? If your monitor has the mount screws on the back for wall mounting you could just get some rails, a plate and a tilty thing and make your own quite easily that would probably take up no more than 12" in depth including the monitor. I assume we're talking about LCD's here?

Looked in to those Neo-Flex stands? they seem pretty good, though a little pricey retail.

if you want to reduce neck tilt, remove all the crap below the monitor and put the monitor on the bench.

Room isn't a problem really as I have pretty large desk
if you want to reduce neck tilt, remove all the crap below the monitor and put the monitor on the bench. That would make it far far worse (which is why I have it's propped up as far as it is). Even propped up, it's still some 6" below horizontal photos don't get much nerdier than that. huh? wtf? I don't see any pocket protectors?? No matter, I just stuck it up on the top of my Gigabyte Aurora 3D case. I thought that might have been too high, seems ok though |

this is why I want pc goggles.
I don't want just 2 or 3 monitors - I want my own 'private' IMAX screen at perfect clarity. One of the guys at work has a pair, although the technology still has a long way to come (especially while coding for more than a few hours at a time). There's no better way to watch movies though ;) |
