I frequently visit ign.com.
Little trick that i found (unfortunately only for macs so most people on this board can't do it). When you go to right click to save one of their high res video's (doesn't matter which one). A Box comes up saying "you must sign in to ign insider to access this video". you hit ok. and then the menu comes up and just "save target as". Not sure if this is just my mac, but worth trying out if anyone else has one |

Mac users really are sick, it makes me laugh. If that's all it takes to think you're 'cool', well, say no more...

See trog, Macs are awesome after all! :)hahah Actually - I recently advised a friend to get a Mac, mainly because I didn't want to have to support it. I figured my complete and utter lack of knowledge of anything to do with Mac OS would protect me from getting THE CALL. Unfortunately I was wrong, and now I need some newb guides to how to drive Macs :( |

It's more stuff like debugging wifi problems - I know how to find signal strength in windows, but don't have the faintest idea on how to do it Mac. I downloaded the mac version of netstumbler - my first ever experience installing anything on a mac - and it just throws some error at launch and won't even run :(

install the mac onto the end of a chain, make sure said chain is attached to a boat.
I've come to the point now if my friend comes over and wants me to do stuff for him I just tell him to go fix it himself. I'm not sure how mac's work trog but windows has a built in signal strength thinger on the wifi card properties. Granted it's not all that helpful it still gives you an idea whether you're getting a router? what router?/oh look I can see the router/router baby, come to daddy/OMG ROUTER TAKE ME NOW signal. Nothing like that in the properties of the wifi card on the mac? My netgear software also gives you a signal strength readout seperate to that of windows. |
